Mt.Izugatake 1

The mountains of Chichibu were ever the bottoms of the sea, but it was pushed up by the orogenic movement that began at 150 million years ago.The Mt.Izugateke belongs to the Chichibu Mountains which consist of the limestone and charts of mesozoic strata and paleozoic strata. Mt.Izugateke is a heap of consisting of charts of 851m above sea level made by erosion rivers. A lot of pebbles of a chart and the sandstone are seen in the hillside.
